INTRODUCTION:

In the project “Home Security system” we have shown the concept of an automatic lab security. As in the modern world everything is going automatic we have built a system which will automatically sense Power failure, Fire and the entry of an unwanted person in the absence of the owner of house. We have deployed a microcontroller which is used to sense the signals from all the sensors which are placed in the house for sensing different type of failures or security conditions. apart from this an audio visual alarm is also planted in the house which will get activated at that time. 

 

                                  There are three sets of sensors: one of which sense the entry or exit of any unwanted person in the absence of owner of house, second for sensing any type of fire and third one is LDR system.. when any person enters in the house through the door then a PIR sensor(which act as a sensor for sensing the entry or exit of an unwanted person) will get activated and give a low signal to microcontroller which is sensed by the controller . Then controller in turn activates the audio visual alarm and also triggers the switch of webcam connected to pc. Similarly when any type of fire is sensed by the fire sensor it will get activated an a low signal is send to the microcontroller which in turn activates the audio visual alarm and also switch the fire extinguisher to get on.

 

                               The sensing of entry and exit of persons is done with the help of PIR. This change in output is sensed by the microcontroller and accordingly it activates the audio visual alarm and also captures the person.

PIR:-PIR is an passive infrared sensor. It always receives the IR rays that are usually emitting from the  human body.Whenever any such type of rays will be received by the sensor ,it relays the signal to the amplifier .NPN transistor is used as an amplifier.The signal from the amplifier is forwarded to the MCU.This MCU will alert the owner or concerned person either by alarm . we are using LDR sensor in this project of automatic lights on and off. When the sun light is falling on the LDR system then the lights of the lab or we can say the lights on the lab floor will be off. If the sun lights will not falls on the sensor then the lights on the floor or lights in the lab will be on. We are also using a wireless medium in this project.

Suppose lab is placed near HOD room, and when some person without HOD permissinon will enter the lab, then the PIR sensor gives the signal to the microcontroller. We are using RF modules with this system for wireless medium. The receiver of the circuit will be in the HOD office and buzzer will be connected with it. So it will give the indication when some entered the room.
